"This item was bought as a gift for my dads birthday. My parents have recently bought the old cottage the history was based on (previously a toll house). My dad has been visiting libraries to find maps and history etc, so when this arrived in the post he was totally made up. He's face lit up - perfect gift."

"The book is elegantly presented, with a good selection of OS maps through the ages. I particularly like the centering of each map around the chosen location, it makes the comparison between the pages so much easier. I was impressed by the number of maps presented, and the fact that both national and county maps were included. I've very much enjoyed looking for local landmarks, and seeing the appearance, or changing use of buildings. All in all, I'm very glad to have found this."
